What is a studio art degree?

A studio art degree will provide you with a foundation for understanding the creative process and producing various works of art. From digital and print graphic design, drawing and painting, digital and analog photography, sculpture and ceramics, you will follow your creative curiosity and work closely with faculty to learn about materials and techniques in a hands-on classroom environment.

Majoring in studio art at Redlands gives you the tools to become a creative professional, build a portfolio, create your CV, write artist statements, and deliver presentations. Each year, you will have the opportunity to take part in a fully funded art and design internship through the department. After completing the program, you will have the option to pursue graduate programs and returned to Redlands to showcase your work in the Art Gallery or teach the next generation of artists.

The Art Major in Three Easy Steps:
